PhD Student Opening
The Sensor Lab in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa has two fully-funded graduate assistantships available in Summer or Fall 2020. The lab has several funded projects, ranging from biomedical sensors for physiological measurement to Internet-of-Thing (IoT) technologies for environmental monitoring. We are looking for motivated students to apply micro/nanofabrication, signal processing and machine learning to emerging challenges. The group
has been published in leading journals (IEEE transactions, ACS Nano, Nature Publishing group, Elsevier, etc), and the former trainees have been employed by well-known companies or academics. We are in particularly interested in prospective students with following qualifications.
1. A BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Electronics, Robotics or closely related disciplines.
2. Basic knowledge with cleanroom and strong hands-on capability
3. Familiar with programming, electronics and CAD
4. Good English writing and speaking skills
