PhD position at Charite Berlin on Resource Balance Analysis modelling of
budding yeast.
We have a job opening for a Phd student with math/computational skills and
a training in systems biology, computational biology, bioinformatics,
biophysics or related subjects. The aim of this project is to build and
analyse a Resource Balance Analysis model of the budding yeast S. cerevisiae,
and to compare the simulation results to predictions from coarse-grained
whole-cell models.
Knowledge of yeast metabolism and computational approaches such as Flux
Balance Analysis will be an asset for this job. The PhD student will be
supervised by Wolfram Liebermeister (Charite Berlin and INRA, Jouy-en-Josas;
France) and co-supervised by Hermann-Georg Holzhütter (Charite Berlin) and
Edda Klipp (Humboldt University Berlin). Part of the project may be carried
out at INRA Jouy-en-Josas (near Paris).
