[心得] 用英文名字考TOEFL的解決辦法

這一篇因為牽涉到application階段的問題，所以發在留學版~ 狀況是這樣的: 當初創TOEFL帳號時，沒有注意到要填護照上的名字，所以就順手填了常用的英文名字。直到報名考試後發現不對勁，寫信給ET$，他們卻只冷冷地回覆: Unfortunately, your request to change your name has been denied. You will need to create a new TOEFL IBT online profile using the correct form of your name. We regret that we are unable to assist you at this time. 無奈之際，又很不甘心報名費就這樣放水流。於是便做了以下幾件事: 1. 考TOEFL會先驗證件，需要去領事事務局在護照上加註別名(不用錢且現場辦完) 2. 成績照樣發給各個學校 3. 確認校方有沒有找到成績，有些學校是看registration number，有的是看名字找。如果學校系統找不到你的成績，就需要寫信給Admission Committee，內容大致如下: To Whom It May Concern, My name is ***, and I am applying *** program for 2015 fall. When I reviewed the page of My Status, I've found out that my submitted TOEFL score wasn't linked to my application, and I believe the problem came from the name discrepancy. I used my second name(As known as) when creating my TOEFL account. I tried to change it before taking TOEFL, but ETS rejected my admission. Even though I reported my score to (學校名字) on 12/12, the system maynot link my score to my application due to the name discrepancy. Here is some information about my TOEFL score: (帳號資訊，考試日期，成績...等等資料) My name: ***** My second name (As Known As) : ***** If anything required to solved this problem, please let me know.
