[問題] Waiting List 如何有機會錄取 (Funding?)

小弟我主要申請 Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) 或稱 Scientific Computing 相關的 MS 與 PhD program 目前只有 UT Austin 的 Waiting List，想詢問怎樣會比較有機會能夠錄取呢？ 以下是收到的信件內容： The CSEM Admissions and Fellowships Committee has reviewed your application to the CSEM PhD program for Fall 2015. Your application was strong, however, the committee was unable to identify funding to support your admission. At this time you have been placed on our waiting list for admission. If a spot becomes available and funding is identified, we will contact you as soon as possible. Please be aware that we may not be able to have a final decision on your application until after April 15. 我看到內容寫得很明白是因為funding的關係，所以又自己寫信去問是否有機會 先自費，念第一年後再找獎學金。 ...I wonder if it would be possible for me to enter the program without funding in the first year and then seek the available funding in the next coming year, for example: the scholarship from our government. 他們給的回覆是： I have checked with our Admissions Committee about your question, and unfortunately we cannot formally admit you without a source of funding identified. 目前我有什麼能做的嗎？ 希望大家能夠給點建議，謝謝。 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc), 來自: 175.111.41.35 ※ 文章網址: https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/studyabroad/M.1427391490.A.676.html
