[選校] CMU MS or Cornell Meng in ChEn
如題, 就是針對自己錄取的化工系選校
小弟以後打算留在美國工作, 也不排斥念PhD
以下是我針對兩間學校查的一些資料

如果做簡略比較, 可以知道Cornell在海內外名氣都很大, 化工排名
與沒差多少(大概1名), 但可以看得出CMU在美國工學院的排名很前面
, 所以我猜想應該是以工程立家的, 另外Cornell是Ivy League
兩個城市都有科技業, 只是據我查的資料, Ithaca附近有生化產業, 可能跟化工
會扯上一點邊.
至於學校的研究部分, 都差不多, 只是Cornell大概有強調多一些材料的領域, 我大學
專題是做跟能源有關的, 但做其他的我也不會排斥.
我個人原本是偏向念Cornell, 念一年的碩士很棒, 可以馬上工作, 也可以申請PhD,
要是在美國找不到工作回台灣, 也應該不太會求職無門, 畢竟校名響亮, 一般沒出過國的
, 也都知道這間學校,但是那只需念一年又不用寫Thesis的MEng學位讓我有點怯步
我問過很多人意見, 已經在美國工作的都建議我念CMU, 沒在美國工作都建議我念Cornell
, 讓我十分難決擇.
不知道各位怎麼看?
