Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is the result of the merger of the
University of Karlsruhe and the Research Centre, Karlsruhe. It is a unique
institution in Germany, which combines the mission of a university with
that of a large-scale research centre of the Helmholtz Association.
The Chair for Micro Hardware Technologies for Automation
(Juniorprof. Dr. Jian-Jia Chen) offers one job position for a Ph.D.
(Wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiters) Position in the area of
"Dependable Application Software on UnReliable Embedded Systems"
by salary grade TV-L E 13. The possibility to pursue a PhD degree exists.
The vacancy shall be filled in 2012.
The applicants should hold a master/diploma degree in the areas of Computer
Science, Informatics, or Computer Engineering. The working language is English.
It is expected to actively participate in research under DFG (German Research
Foundation) Priority Program SPP 1500 in http://spp1500.itec.kit.edu/ for
dependable embedded systems. Beneficial is basic expertise in one or more of
the following areas:"Embedded Systems“, "Compilers“, and "Real-Time Systems".
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) strives at raising the quotaof women
in research and will therefore especially welcome female candidates.
Disabled persons with equivalent expertise will be preferred.
