[分享] F1 renewal 黃單經驗
我的是生醫領域的
原visa在去年暑假已過期
藉今年農曆年節回來renew F1
Feb 10 (Thur) - 拿到黃單
當天我準備的有:
護照, I-20
預約單, DS-160確認單, 5x5大頭照
(列印出來的DS-160第一頁上有被列為Sensitive But Unclassified,
不知是不是只有我的是這樣 )
兩張繳費收據(NT3430, NT275), 以前的SEVIS繳費證明
CV, 成績單, 在學證明 (enrollment certification)
近期發表paper, 系上TA appointment letter
戶口謄本, 個人財力證明
面試時只問了我的研究題目 就叫我去2號窗口
在2號窗口問了被好幾次有沒有和protein expression的技術相關
還有目前研究的funding來源
最後窗口小姐只收了我的I-20, CV, 近期paper第一頁
退還護照, 成績單, 個人財力證明, 係上的TA appointment letter等
然後發給我傳說中的 黃單 (悶…)
黃單只要求補advisor letter, 其中必須回答下列四個問題：
1. The goals of applicant's research and the practical applications
of this research.
2. The source of the funding for applicant’s research and
what amount of U.S government funding, if any, will be used to
support your research.
3. What, if any, export-controlled technology and/or information
the applicant will have access to during his/her research.
4. What, if any, U.S. government projects the applicant will be
participating in or will have access to during his/her research.
p.s. 事實上黃單上有許多補件選項
建議將來要申請的人盡量可以備妥下列文件:
CV, Job description, Company profile, Invitation letter, Itinerary
Research abstract, Publication list, Research summary, Contact info in US
Exit/entry record
Feb 10 (Thur)當晚收到我老闆回信
Feb 11 (Fri)一早傳真黃單及advisor letter給AIT
之後每天上AIT網站查詢case status
通常是每天早上9am會更新一次
March 10 (Thur) case completed (Finally!!!)
剛去AIT交了護照 也訂了下禮拜的機票
整整等了一個月(2/10-3/10)
