1.有關Postcrossing
(1)What is Postcrossing?
In short: the objective of Postcrossing is to allow people to exchange
postcards via mail (real mail, not email) with random Postcrossers from
around the world. Oh, and it is absolutely free, meaning, if you send a
postcard, you will receive one back from another random member.
(1)何謂Postcrossing?
簡單來說，Postcrossing的目的在於可以讓人們透過郵寄跟來自世界各地的
Postcrossers(官網會員)交換明信片(現實的非電子郵件)。喔，這是完全免費的
(明信片請自行購置)，意思就是當你寄出明信片時，到時你將會收到別人寄來
的明信片。
(2)How does Postcrossing work?
It goes like this:
[1]Register on the website. You will need to provide your postal address
so that you can receive postcards.
[2]Request to send a postcard. An address is displayed along with the
member's profile. This address is accompanied by a Postcard ID - a
unique code that identifies your postcard.
[3]Choose a postcard, write something nice on it along with the assigned
Postcard ID, and mail it to the address you were given.
[4]Wait, wait, wait. :-)
[5]Hoorray! The card arrives to its destination and is registered by the
user! Now you too will receive a postcard!
(2)該如何Postcrossing呢?
是這麼做的:
[1]在官網上註冊，為了能夠收到他人的明信片你需要提供你的郵寄地址。
[2]點擊send a postcard，之後會隨機顯示一個會員的地址及基本資料。
顯示地址的同時會伴隨著一個明信片ID - 一個能識別屬於你寄出的
明信片的獨特代碼。
[3]選購一個明信片，要寫什麼都可以但要注意禮貌，並且要把明信片ID
寫在上面，然後將明信片寄到上述的地址。
[4]等待，等待，還是等待(笑
[5]耶!明信片寄到了目的地且明信片ID已被收件者登錄了(Register a
postcard)，現在你也將會收到別人的明信片了!
(3)Is it free?
The Postcrossing website is absolutely free! You will not receive any
postcards if you do not send any; that is what makes the system work. The
more postcards you send, the more you will receive. It is simple, but you
still have to send postcards to make it work.
Note that you will need to spend money on postage to send the postcards
and to buy postcards if you do not have any.

Postcrossing是完全免費的!如果你不寄出任何明信片也將不會收到他人寄的，
這就是整個如何運作的。你寄出的越多，收到的也越多。這很簡單，但前提是
你必須要寄出明信片一切才會運作。
必須注意的是你需要花錢在郵寄費用上，如果沒明信片的話也需要去買。
(4)What is a Postcrossing Ambassador?
A Postcrossing Ambassador is a member who has made remarkable contributions
to the project. Members have received this title by doing things like:
[1]Writing an article about Postcrossing for a newspaper or magazine;
[2]Teaching a class about Postcrossing and inviting the students to join;
[3]Spreading posters in their neighbourhood.
The idea is to spread the word about Postcrossing, so if you want to
become an Ambassador use your imagination!
If you have done any of these (or other) good deeds, let us know and
we will update your profile.
We receive many requests of ambassador badges for writing about
Postcrossing in blogs or homepages. Currently we are not considering
these eligible unless proof is provided of having a very large audience.
Tip: Put your mouse over the words "Postcrossing Ambassador" on the
user's profile to learn about that member's contribution!
(4)何謂Postcrossing大使?
Postcrossing大使是一個會員替此計劃做了卓越的貢獻，會員做了下述的幾種事
才得到該稱號:
[1]替報紙或雜誌寫一個關於Postcrossing的專欄
[2]為Postcrossing上一門課且邀請學生們一塊參與
[3]在街坊鄰居間張貼有關於Postcrossing的海報
整個構想就是將Postcrossing傳遞出去，所以如果你也想成為大使就運用你的想像力
如果你有做了上述的那些事(其他也可)，讓我們知道，我們將會更新你的資料
我們收到很多請求成為大使的在網誌或個人網頁寫了有關Postcrossing。
目前我們暫不考慮這些有資格拿到大使頭銜，除非能提供證明有很多人瀏覽過。
小秘訣:把滑鼠指標放在別人的資料註明Postcrossing大使的字上，你可以了解
該會員做了什麼貢獻成為大使的!
(5)Will the website be translated into other languages?
Not any time soon. For the project to work, there needs to be a common
language; in this case we chose English.
If the website is translated to other languages, a user can register
without understanding a single word of English. This member would only
be able to send postcards to other members who share a common language.
This goes against the objective of the Postcrossing project. Hence, for
the moment, it is a requirement to be able to read and write basic English.
(5)官網會翻譯成其他語言嗎?
近期將不會，為了讓整個計畫能運作，必須有個大眾、普遍的語言;我們選了英文。
如果官網翻譯成了其他語言，使用者能夠在不懂半句英文的情況下註冊，那麼
這個會員只能夠將明信片寄給有共通語言的其他會員。這個就違背了當初建立
Postcrossing計畫的主要目的。因此，目前需要會員們能夠懂得讀寫基本英文。
(6)Is the author of the project named 'Paolo'?
No, it's Paulo! For some reason a lot of people call him 'Paolo' but
that is Italian and he is Portuguese. :-)
(6)整個計畫的創立人的名字是唸做'Paolo'嗎?
不，是唸做Paulo!不曉得為何很多人都把他唸做'Paolo'，名字是義大利語發音
的，而且他是葡萄牙人(笑
