The night danced on you
On the stone feet that treaded on my teeth, broken and speechless
On the pillar-like legs that sneered at my eyes, they feared and bowed
On the flat terrain of your torso, back on me, like a king
On the vampire arms that gripped my neck, like a lion
Stick to its captures
(You’d sucked me dry and through.)
On the giant shoulders that mystified me into a false belief
On the papery lips that once were mine—though ice-cold
On the black eyes—oh the eyes of you seem like a deep well of pure darkness.
I didn’t survive.
(But I poked them blind righteously with Athena’s spear.)
I’d forgiven you, for you equally shared the shadows of the moon
No. They are not mine.
