如圖，雖然在台灣的希臘人大概才一百個左右，但日前有希臘人在網路上發起向希臘國會 要求支持「聲援台灣加入世衛」的活動、起草的包括報導裡面一位在台北的希臘音樂家 這封請願信是英希雙語的，只放英文、懶得翻了自己看： February 2020 Dear Member of the Hellenic Parliament, as Greek residents in Taiwan or persons of Hellenic origin, we would lik e to raise your awareness concerning the issue of Taiwan’s exclusion from the World Health Organization (WHO) and its impact on tackling the coronavirus outb reak. The situation of novel coronavirus in China (P.R.C.) has been rapidly e scalating recently, leading to WHO’s declaration of a global health emergency. Taiwan, as the fron t line of defense against the coronavirus, was not invited to attend World Health Asse mbly since 2017, nor to many meetings of the WHO, due to political pressure from Ch ina. Taiwan’s exclusion from the WHO has posed a threat to the epidemic p revention and everyone’s health rights. At this critical moment of fighting coronavirus, we should show our solidarity with every country in the world, including Taiwan. Actually, Taiwan’s and China’s health systems are administered by ent irely separate and independent health authorities. Additionally, Taiwan, with one of the most a dvanced and efficient health care systems in the world, has a valuable experience in the battle against global diseases and particularly S.A.R.S. and H1N1. In every aspect, WHO’s incorrect treatment of Taiwan as part of Chin a P.R.C. and Taiwan’s exclusion are both unjust and highly impractical (we also remind you that Taiwan has never been part of the P.R.C.). We truly believe that “...health is one of the fundamental rights of ev ery human being without distinction of race, religion, political belief, economic or socia l condition”, as mentioned in the Constitution of WHO, and as well as one of core values of t he Greek civilization. It ιs a matter of human rights. The health right of the 23 million Taiwanese people and of all foreigne rs who live in Taiwan shall not be ignored and abandoned by the WHO and shall not be le ft to the mercy of any other country ! Many countries and their representation in Taiwan, such as the U.S., Japan, Canada, Germany, other European states, as well as the EU commission, no t only have expressed their support for Taiwan’s participation in the WHO but also pro vide assistance for their citizens in Taiwan. Unfortunately, there is not any Greek representa tive office yet. Greek citizens in Taiwan are very isolated and can not indefinitely rely on con sulates situated abroad. Therefore, we are solemnly asking you to address our positions to the H ellenic Parliament, Ministries and government: 1. Full support for Taiwan’s participation in the WHO and its institutions. 2. The need to provide to Greek citizens living in Taiwan all possible relevant instructions concerning the coronavirus and any help they may need in the near future. 3. In the long term, the establishment of a much needed Greek representation of fice in Taiwan. Sincerely ...大致就是說台灣跟中國完全不一樣、也沒被中共統治過， 世衛排除台灣完全不符合公平正義，要求希臘政府大力表態支持台灣加入WHO之類的？ 另外要求希臘趕快在台灣設代表處來服務他們希臘民眾 （台灣在希臘有，但希在台灣好像沒有） 我看他在報導裡一直抱怨整個台灣要找希臘辦事處都找不到很麻煩.... （我看這才是主因吧？笑） 還說台灣跟希臘應該有更多發展經貿的空間才是，比如說開個雅典-台北航線之類的？ 喂喂這就有點跳躍了，咱們布拉格的都還沒談成呢....... 總之這份已經衝到2300多人署名了（門檻3000的樣子）..... 雖然大部分台灣鄉民的心聲大概是 「謝謝，不過那麼垃圾的CHO真的不用了」但對別人這些聲援還是要多感恩啦~ 總之以後遇到在台希臘人對他們熱情一點好了，沒有在台希臘辦事處很麻煩的話就多幫忙 他們一下~ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc), 來自: 123.194.173.121 (臺灣) ※ 文章網址: https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/nCoV2019/M.1583623149.A.DBA.html
