[問題] intensification treatment?
各位學長姐好，
小魯最近修了個要讀paper的系選修，
有個問題想請問大家，
這篇NEJM的paper叫做Initial therapy with FOLFOXIRI and Bevacizumab for
metastatic colorectal cancer
是在探討說轉移性大腸直腸癌治療中，
FOLFOXIRI跟FOLFIRI這兩種複合的化療藥物組合，
各自加上Bevacizumab之後哪個效果比較好
paper的Discussion部份有兩句話出現了"intensification"這個字，看不太懂
"The intensification of the treatment was associated with a significant
increase in the rates of grade 3 or 4 neurotoxicity, stomatitis, diarrhea,
and neutropenia."
"Chemotherapy intensification does not influence the safety profile of the
antiangiogenic agent."
這邊所講的intensification就是intensification therapy(consolidation therapy
，強化治療)嗎?
另外查到的資料說intensification therapy是在全身性的治療(例如化療)之後所做的
局部性的處置(例如放療)，可是這篇paper講的是化療+標靶，一點都不局部啊...
還是說這邊的intensification指的是這篇paper是phase 3，相較於previous trials
(phase 1,2)又更進一步的意思呢?
