chance to talk a little. We set up an interview and finally got out schedules
lined up. Lena is very insightful and gave some very thought provoking
answers.

Captain Jack: Tell me about Lena Paul.

Lena Paul: I grew up pretty much all over the Southeast. I was raised in
Georgia and did my first year of college at the University of Louisville in
Kentucky and finished up at a college in Florida because I met a boy and fell
madly in love and all that good stuff. (laughs) The boy didn’t necessarily
work out but I loved the whole schooling experience. I studied Latin American
studies and worked in agriculturally orientated start-up spaces. I worked
with different start-ups that were looking at sustainable agriculture. Like
organic farming, organic crop treatments and that type of thing. I basically
negotiated between Central American governments and individual investors with
the U.S. teams because I generally found being a petite, relatively cute
blonde girl made it really easy for people to talk to me. I could get a lot
more out of unions in Latin America that might be more closed off to others.
I basically worked with the indigenous. I had a really weird career before I
got into porn and now I still have a really weird career. (laughs)

CJ: How old are you?

Lena: I’m 23. I was homeschooled growing up so I graduated from high school
early and went to college. By the time I was out and running around Mexico
and Guatemala, I was about 21 or 22. There was a little bit of crossover
between this time period for me because start-ups notoriously have no money
and I was frequently running into the scenario where I couldn’t pay my
workers in Honduras or Guatemala because of this management on the U.S. side
so I was actually webcamming from my hotel room in Guatemala to fund my
start-up. I ended up getting paid by the company in the form of equity. So
when I got fed up with the structures of the companies I was working with and
saw the writing on the wall and saw it wasn’t going to go anywhere for me
career-wise, I walked away from that. In the time being, I unwittingly and
unintentionally grew a pretty good presence in camming. I was getting hit up
by porn agents and for auditions and all this stuff. I was going to go back
and work on some kind of graduate degree but in the meantime, I realized I
went to a private school, I have a ton of student debt, I kind of put
everything off in my life to travel around the world, I had to figure out a
way to pay my bills and have some fun at the same time. And porn still kind
of appeared for me.

CJ: How long have you been in the industry?

Lena: 10 months, I’m coming up on my porniversary.

CJ: You are in a lot of big tit scenes, what size are they?

Lena: They kind of fluctuate. When I started in the business, they were 32
triples and now I’m around a 32 double D. I got a lot of feedback initially
when I got into the industry, ‘we really like your look but you probably

was, ‘Fuck you guys! I’m going to do what I want!’ But then I switched
birth control and lost all this weight and I was, ‘Damn, I don’t want to
give you the impression that I played into that!’ Like my bush, for example,
that was a total rebellion move. I made a deal with myself when I got into
the business that I wasn’t going to be the type of girl who changed herself
for the business. It was either going to be a take me or leave me scenario.
Whenever I got a little bit more svelte and more like a typical looking
pornstar, I was, ‘Shit! I don’t want you guys to think I agree with you!’

訪問一周以後LP還是剃了部分的陰毛，我就問她為何
Lena: Honestly, I accidentally shaved too much of the sides. (I do trim it)
so I was like, ‘well, fuck, guess I gotta even this up! I’ll be growing it
back starting in ten days. I’m taking a break and then it’s gonna be just
as bushy as ever!)
LP:其實我剃了太多邊邊的毛，所以我想就她媽的兩邊都剃掉反正還會再長，我只是暫時

CJ: I’ve heard so many stories of agents wanting girls in the cookie cutter
image. I like it because there is such a wide variety of women.

Lena: Absolutely and I think we’re getting more diverse every year. Whenever
you look at the number of girls of different ethnicities and backgrounds, you
’re seeing a lot more variety in porn which I think that says good things
not just about the porn world itself but about porn consumers. Porn consumers
are more educated and more ethical nowadays than they ever have been because
there is more information and people are taking advantage of that.

CJ: When did they start growing, did you get a lot of attention from guys?

Lena: Yes! I started getting breasts when I was about 8 years old. I was the
definition of an early bloomer. I had double D’s by the time I was 11 or 12.
I was homeschooled so I was a little bit sheltered from it but I think I’ve
always been conscious of the fact that I had a woman’s body at a really
early age. I definitely did not look like the other girls growing up.
Honestly, porn’s been really good for me in some ways because it’s been my
way of making peace with my body. I feel so much more comfortable in my skin

terms of physical attractiveness. I’ve dated all varying body types,
different appearances, some very conventional and some that not many people
idolize so I never think of myself in terms of my sexuality. It’s just a
business for me. Other things are important to me like intelligence and
character.

Lena: I was a really late bloomer. I lost my virginity at 19. It was really
funny because my body was so developed that I think I was overwhelmed with
attention. There were so many boys that wanted to be close to me and I knew
that they were only after one thing. And being young and innocent, I was
really not ready for that. So I waited and I actually lost my virginity to
somebody that I really cared about and we were both virgins. We transitioned
from high school sweethearts and dated all through college.

CJ: Since you were with him for a while and you were in love, I assume you
weren’t with that many guys before the industry?

husband is the last person I hooked up with before I got into the business. I
remember we were laying in my hotel room and we were trying to count up all

amateur. One of the good things about having sex older is that you’re not
all hung up on those high school insecurities. Once the cat was out of the

work. He said I should be “Paul” and I was ok with that because Lena Paul
and Les Paul. It made me think of that.

s different with all these people around. Were you intimidated? Nervous?
