the Twins (67-46) for the AL Wild Card lead.

sixth home run and Bobby Abreu's first AL long
ball, a two-run blast. Cano's fifth home run
leading off the sixth was the third allowed by
Garland (12-4), two more than the right-hander
allowed in his previous 10 appearances combined.

margin in the seventh. But Tadahito Iguchi
stopped history with a single to left to open
the inning, Thome walked and Konerko's ground-
rule double brought home the first run. Jermaine
Dye followed with a drive to right that looked
to be headed for the seats, but instead, hit the
top of the wall.

of his bat to end the inning and strand Konerko
at third.

"You get confused because I thought nobody
thought ... When he turned around, it was a little
too late," said Guillen of Konerko's baserunning

corners. A second comeback against one of the
best closers in baseball history was not in the
cards on this night, not even with a full moon
shining above.
mo接下kyle的工作也順利的把八局給穩住，但是他在

況又緊張了起來，真的是七月怪事天天有。
Instead of worrying about the loss, though, the
White Sox praised Johnson's effort and took the
late positives into Thursday's series finale.
看來似乎是太擔心了，白襪今天完全是敗在johnson一
個人手下，且明天是這系列有如美聯冠軍前哨戰的最後
一戰。
"It was a great comeback," Anderson said.
"Obviously, [Johnson] did have no-hit stuff
until the seventh. If our lineup isn't getting
a hit off of him, then he must have pretty good
stuff going."
