already owned by another individual and this service is designed to help you
acquire that domain. Here are the most popular topics associated with using
the Domain Buy Service.
How do I get started?
By purchasing the Domain Buy Service, you have already started the process to
acquire the desired domain name. When you purchased the service, the process
began automatically. Here are the next steps:
View the appraised value of the domain.
Your purchase of the Domain Buy Service submitted the desired domain for a
Certified Domain Appraisal. The appraisal requires approximately 2 days to
complete. The appraisal provides information you will need to continue with
the next step. See Checking Domain Appraisal Status to check the status of
the appraisal and to view the appraised value of the domain.
Provide a minimum and maximum price range that you are willing to pay for
this domain.
The minimum and maximum values are what we use as a range to negotiate with
the domain owner. The value determined in the appraisal from the prior step
gives you an estimate of what we feel the domain is worth. Keep in mind that
this appraisal is based solely on the domain and not any attached website or
business associated with the domain. Some domain owners may want more for
their domain than the appraised value and this should be considered when
entering your min/max values. We will always try to get the domain at the
lowest possible price, but you need to enter a range wide enough for us to
have room to negotiate. By default, the min/max values are zero. See Changing

on adjusting these to the desired values.
But wait! What fees am I responsible for?
As the Buyer, you are responsible to pay for the domain if we are able to
successfully reach an agreement with the domain owner within your preset
range. There will be a 10% commission fee added to the agreed upon sales
price. If the domain name is not registered with us, you may transfer it to
your account with us for the standard transfer fee as listed on our website.
NOTE: Completed sales that are $1,500.00 or greater are handled through
Escrow.com. Escrow.com may charge additional fees dependent upon your
selected method of payment.
