Back in the competition for the first time since 2011 when they participated in Puerto Montt, Chile - the Asian nation are keen to ignite their campaign after two opening losses at this year's edition in Russia. It proved to be a painful return on the opening day when they were swept aside by a rampant Russia in front of a near 3,000 crowd. But led by 20 points by Lo, they hit back against Netherlands and pushed their opponents hard before being edged out 80-74. "It was difficult for us in the first game against Russia as they are the home team and have good players and also some strong support," said the 1.69m guard. "We had to see the Netherlands game as a fresh start. "That is exactly how we approached it and everyone played really well against Netherlands. "However, I think there were just a few faults and mistakes which ultimately cost us the game." Having benefitted from Japan's suspension to take their place in the 16-team event, Lo and her team-mates are extra keen to show they belong at this level and understand the microscope is on them as late replacements in the tournament. "We understand that we got this chance after finishing fourth last year at the FIBA Asia U18 Women's Championship and it was unexpected, so we really do treasure this opportunity. "That is why we are giving our maximum and we want to show not only the people of Chinese Taipei, but the whole world about women's basketball in our country." Buoyed by their performance [if not the result] against Netherlands, Lo is keen that her team harnesses some key ingredients as they try to make it third time lucky in their last Group A match-up against Argentina. "We have a good attitude and a very strong spirit which helps us in our desire to win," said Lo. "We look to use our speed against the taller teams and we have to shoot the ball well from three-point range to be a success.
