DALLAS -- He spends his days rehabbing, and on game days he wonders when the time will come when he can finally get back on the basketball court. In the meantime, Dallas Mavericks guard Vince Carter reflects back to Jan. 16, when he attempted a game-tying 3-point shot at the buzzer against the Los Angeles Lakers. The shot missed its mark, and Carter, in the aftermath, wound up being helped off the court by his teammates. 簡單說就是在對湖人時最後一擊受傷了 The result: Carter suffered a sprained left foot. The eight-time All-Star hasn't played since and is out indefinitely. Replaying what happened that frightful night in LA, Carter said: "As I caught the ball, as I was pushing off to go to my shot, that's when [the foot] popped. As I was pushing off I heard it pop before I even got to the shot. It's just weird. "And after I took the shot I didn't want to land on it because I didn't know. I could feel the pain, but you didn't know if it was broken or whatever." Carter has missed the past four games and doesn't know when he'll return. The wait has been agonizing. "I don't have a timetable and I don't think they want to put a timetable on it," Carter said. "For me, I want to get back and play. "But at the same time when you go against [a member of the Mavs medical staff] they say, 'Hey, you can't do this.' They always bring me back to reality." "I'm just glad it wasn't broken," Carter said. "It's still aggravating. "Every time you step forward you're going to feel it under your foot, so they have to keep taping it.
