Ranieri: "I'm Sure That We Can Do Things Better"
Claudio Ranieri said that his team played versus RCD Espanyol the best
minutes of the present season. Nevertheless, the coach of Valencia CF
affirmed that he believes that still are many things to do to reach the level
that he desires. The coach admitted that he is more please by the points
added that by the play carried out. "I'm sure that we can do a much better
and the players do also know".
The Italian, who didn't know what happened with the expulsions suffered
by his rival, commented that he doesn't believe that the argentine Pablo
Aimar wants to leave the club. Despite all the rumors, he could only assure
that he has not spoken with the footballer about that matter.
Steaua Bucuresti, First Rival of Valencia CF in the UEFA Cup
The romanian team Steaua Bucuresti will be the first rival of Valencia
CF in the round of 32 of the UEFA Cup, after the draw that took place in the
UEFA Headquarters at Nyon. The first leg match will be played on February
17th, 2005, in Mestalla, while the second leg will take place on February
24th at the Ghencea Stadium in Bucarest.
The che team, in case of defeating Steaua, would face in the following
round of 16 the winner of the eliminatory to be played between Villarreal CF
and Dinamo Kiev, on March 10th and 17th. The club has been represented in the
highest continental football institution by Jes猹 Barrachina, member of the
