[北美][J1 ] I-20/DS-2019 start date過期入境
請教一下
如果超過DS-2019 (new program)上的start date(30天內)是否還可以入境美國?
我爬完板上所有的文, 有的說可以有的說不行
想請問有沒有前輩有實際經驗,在進海關時是否會被擋?
我有請學校改SEVIS上的日期,但學校行政太慢,遲遲得不到協助
因此想了解是否能直接入境
我查到mit/cmu的網頁寫『前』『後』30天可入境:

但AIT給的指示沒說可以:
If you are applying for an F1 or M1 Student Visa to start a new course of
study, please insure that you will be able to arrive in the US by the start
date listed on the I-20 form. Otherwise, you will need to contact your school
to update the SEVIS system with a later start date.
If you are applying for a J1 Exchange Visitor Visa to start a new program,
please insure that you will be able to arrive in the US by the start date
listed on the DS-2019 form. Otherwise, you will need to contact your
sponsoring organization to update the SEVIS system with a later start date.
看來此規則有些模糊地帶
