個人去年因為美國打工申請過一次美簽J1成功今年使用新表格DS160 並且申請B1/B2簽證以下單就今年B1/B2申請流程說明 ----------------------首先先講DS160的填寫裡面會包括---------------------- 你的護照名生日地址電話信箱你在美國的停留地址電話你就讀的學校地址或工作地址與電話你參與此計畫是否自己出錢如果有贊助是誰提供附上名字地址電話你的父母名字生日是否為美國公民由於時間只有20分鐘填寫強烈建議把所需地址姓名電話打成一張word檔一個蘿蔔一個坑把它複製貼上最後會有一大串問你是否有跳機或從事恐怖行動意圖的問題全部打NO 此外也強烈建議一開始就上傳照片讓系統檢查是否符合不然最後照片不合導致超過20分鐘被自動登出就真是哭哭了此外照片我是用相機拍完然後用PhotoCap裁切好用又省錢最後排版拿去洗4*6照片才花10元真是甘苦人的省錢之道 ---------------------------再來是面試B1/B2簽證--------------------------- 我拿B1/B2簽去美國大學讀暑期課程根據美國簽證法律一週18小時以下就不屬Full time 學生此外我也找到一個相關法令規定外國學生是否可以拿觀光簽去上課的規定 Enrollment in a course of study prohibited . An alien who is admitted as, or changes status to, a B-1 or B-2 nonimmigrant on or after April 12, 2002, or who files a request to extend the period of authorized stay in B-1 or B-2 nonimmigrant status on or after such date, violates the conditions of his or her B-1 or B-2 status if the alien enrolls in a course of study. Such an alien who desires to enroll in a course of study must either obtain an F-1 or M-1 nonimmigrant visa from a consular officer abroad and seek readmission to the United States, or apply for and obtain a change of status under section 248 of the Act and 8 CFR part 248. The alien may not enroll in the course of study until the Service has admitted the alien as an F-1 or M-1 nonimmigrant or has approved the alien's application under part 248 of this chapter and changed the alien's status to that of an F-1 or M-1 nonimmigrant. It should be noted that the regulation prohibits B nonimmigrants not only from studying in a full course of study, but in any course of study. An April 12, 2002 INS field memorandum gives the only guidance on how the term course of study was being interpreted by INS: INS memo HQISD/70-6.2.2-P , J. Williams (April 12, 2002). The term "course of study" implies a focused program of classes, such as a full-time course load leading to a degree or, in the case of a vocational student, some type of certification. Casual, short-term classes that are not the primary purpose of the alien's presence in the United States, such as a single English language or crafts class, would not constitute a "course of study." Courses with more substance or that teach a potential vocation, such as flight training, would be considered part of a "course of study" and thus would require approval of a student status. 所以如果每週修課18小時以下並且修習的課程為學術非就業課程照理說來拿觀光簽應該是沒有什麼問題可是自我感覺良好的米國人有時候會拒絕接受觀光簽入學那可試圖拿上述法令跟他吵看看有吵的孩子有糖吃這就是米國文化接著講面試心得基本上資料處理過程很多人分享所以我講我被問的問題面試官是一個戴眼鏡的亞裔美國男性看起來十分嚴肅在我之前的一個女生就被拒簽面試官:你去美國做什麼? 我:去遊學去修暑期課程面試官:你現在在工作嗎? 我:我是學生阿(遞上英文在學證明跟成績單) 面試官:你會在美國工作嗎? 我:不會阿(疑惑貌) 面試官:你會修轉學課程嗎? 我:不會阿(疑惑貌) 面試官:你通過了 -----------------------------以下是碎碎念心得-------------------------- 面試美簽就像是CAS挑選豬肉一樣分成好豬跟壞豬好豬送上市場壞豬丟掉所以挑門面動機財力家世背景而且還挑英文能力有時候看到因為英文能力不好或是對於簽證程序不熟悉而被拒簽的人真是覺得有點感嘆 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.175.146.37
