Emre Dedicates Goal To Cuper And Moratti
11/21/2002. Inter midfielder Emre dedicated his goal for Turkey
against Italy last night to his coach and president.
"I realised I have a lot of fans in Italy," he was quoted as saying
on the club's official site. "I scored a nice goal, my third for the
national team after goals against Moldova and Costa Rica, and I
have two dedications to make - one to Cuper and the other to
Moratti. The coach was in the stands to watch the match, while the
president is always with us. He follows us and he's always close to
us."
He added that team-mate Luigi Di Biagio told him to take it easy
last night, in view of this weekend's Milan derby.
"Vieri and Di Biagio were opponents on the pitch, it had an effect
on me," he added. "But Gigi told me to take it easy and not tire
myself too much in view of the derby. They were loyal opponents but
opponents."
