The Timberwolves and 12 other NBA franchises will share the Fort Wayne (Ind.)
Mad Ants as an NBA Development League affiliate for the 2014-15 season.
The Wolves' new partnership replaces the Iowa Energy from last season and the
Sioux Falls Skyforce for the seven seasons before that.
Last season, Wolves rookie swingman Shabazz Muhammad played four games with
Iowa, while Othyus Jeffers was a late-season signing from the Energy.
Seventeen NBA teams now have one-to-one relationships with D-League teams.
The Wolves' front office has explored an exclusive relationship with a D-League
team, but those plans have been tabled for this season to focus on the
construction of offices and a training center in downtown Minneapolis.
