Not much you can do that far down in the 2nd round, the T’Wolves are trying
to fill the gap created by Troy Hudson’s possible departure. He can probably
get the ball to Kevin Garnett and hit his jump shots if he is left open.
That's about all you can ask for here.

Finally, the punishment is over. With a reprieve last season, this was the
fourth and final first round the T-Wolves forfeited their pick as penalty for
their under-the-table deal with Joe Smith in 1999. Last year they added prep
talent Ndudi Ebi, so it's not like they're not developing someone anyway. And
this year, with their lone pick, 58th overall, they grabbed Gonzaga point guard
Blake Stepp. They needed depth there and Stepp, at 6-4, was a four-year starter
and a second team All-American. He's slow and an erratic shooter, but he has
great instincts, played on a team that did well in the NCAA Tournament every
year and knows how to win. If nothing else, he has a chance to make the team
and add depth.

they used their second-rounder on Gonzaga's Stepp. He's a heady point guard
with an outside chance to make it as an NBA backup, something the T'wolves
might need if Troy Hudson bolts as a free agent.
