晶圓代工廠台積電董事長張忠謀表示,摩爾定律可能還可再延續10年,3奈米製程應該會
出來,2奈米則有不確定性,2奈米之後就很難了。
張忠謀今天出席交通大學EMBA的20週年慶活動,演講「成長與創新」。張忠謀面對聽眾提
問時指出,「摩爾定律是否到盡頭」這題目已經談了很多年。
張忠謀表示,1998年英特爾(Intel)總裁貝瑞特來台時,兩人曾針對摩爾定律還可延續
多久進行討論,他當時回答還有15年,貝瑞特較謹慎回答,大概還有10年。
現在已經2017年,張忠謀表示,兩人當時的答案都錯了;他指出,目前大膽預測摩爾定律
可能再有10年。
張忠謀表示,台積電明年將生產7奈米製程,5奈米已研發差不多,一定會出來,3奈米也
已經做2至3年,看來也是會出來。
張忠謀指出,先進製程設計很貴,設計後做成晶片,市場會很小的確是個疑慮,他認為,
儘管不保證市場會很大,但還是會有市場。
張忠謀解釋,他預測摩爾定律可能再有10年,是包含了3奈米製程,2奈米做的成還是做不
成,還要幾年才會知道,有不確定性,2奈米之後很難了。
摩爾定律是由英特爾創辦人Gordon Moore提出,指晶片上可容納的電晶體密度,約每18至
24個月便會增加一倍。
