: 疑問：查了一下，of late 似乎就是recently的意思，那soon 是否也有同樣意思，但為
: 何這題需選c而不是d呢？
一直看沒有人回覆，雖然能力不好，但幫忙回一下。
另外，我也沒有這本書，純粹從你給的題目資訊去推理。
有錯誤，再請指正。
第一題因為是句子有現在完成式，所以可以用來表示到現在為止仍在繼續的
動作或狀態；所以副詞必須接一段時間(resently)或是過去某一個時間
(since 20XX)
至於問到的soon，應該要翻譯為不久，很快，通常習慣應該要接未來式。

第二個句型應該是
more than + 倍數詞 + as...as 是....的幾倍還不止
而long單字在longman字典說明為：
used to ask and talk about particular amounts of time
所以它的原句應該如下
Makoto has been with the company more than twice as long as any of the other
mployees have been with the company long.
long為副詞，修飾with the company 的倍數(單位：時間)。
至於in comparsion to語意會稍微不通順，因為缺了一個計量的單位，只知道二倍，
但不知道什麼二倍。
