[題目] 關於形容詞子句跟名詞子句

題目：
書上說名詞子句可以當做介係詞受詞
Ex: The group talked about how the accident occured.
但是到了形容詞子句的關係副詞的部份的時候的例句
Ex: I tried to figure out how the machine works.
我怎麼想來想去這兩個句子差不多？
直覺好像"how the machine work"就是figure out的介係詞受詞的名詞子句阿？
可以告訴我是怎麼一回事嗎？
書上說 how/the way可以選則一個用
如果變成 I tried to figure out the way the machine works.
這樣句子結構怎麼會感覺有點奇怪？（還是是我多慮了）
(如果是 I tried to figure out the way how the machine works 就感覺合理很多...）
還有第二個問題
這類的句子可以改成
The group talked about how does the accident occur.
I tried to figure out how does the machine work.
