Rainfall is not completely absent in desert areas, but it is highly
variable. An annual rainfall of four inches is often used to define the limits
of a desert. The impact of rainfall upon the surface water and groundwater
resources of the desert is greatly inluenced by landforms. Flats and
depressions where water can collect are common features, but they make up only
a small part of the landscape.
1. Which of the following statements about annual reainfall can be inferred
from paragraph 1?

掙扎這兩個結果還是選到1了ORZ
答案2)，但文中最後一句flats and ...... common features, 也能夠infer出1)吧?

severely無誤，但我有很強烈的記憶rapid也通"急遽"之類的意思，
有查了一下確實有這種用法證實我記憶沒錯:)，
所以想問問這題是不是算出得不好，還是只是我自己理解有誤= =?
