[討論]希捷ST3500320AS特定序號無法更新韌體

指教一下最後面問的小問題 感謝~~

10月在原價屋買的硬碟
在XP執行更新韌體，重開機有抓到硬碟，但說型號不對無法更新
爬文後發現好像沒人遇到這個問題
不過官網討論區有人問 http://fwd4.me/mBA

These five drives all had serial numbers starting with 6XW,
while the two drives whose serial numbers started with 5XW got the messsage
"Model Matched, No firmware match! Will not download Firmware!"
解決方式
you can still forcibly update your drives to CC35 firmware.
If you are updating from a bootable CD, then allow the update to fail on the
first pass. Wait for the following message:
"The system will power off after pressing any key..."
Abort the batch by typing Ctrl-C or Ctrl-Break. Then type the following line
at the FreeDOS prompt:
FDL486A -m Hepburn -f HECC358H.LOD -i ST32000542AS -s -x -b -v -a 20

Power cycle the drive(s) when the update is complete.
^^^^^^^^^^^ 是指按reset吧??
You may like to play it safe and disconnect those drives that are not
associated with the update.

01 有人同樣問題打電話問客服 http://fwd4.me/mBK
客服說特定型號才有問題才需要更新，無法更新表示不是有問題的型號
客服說的可信嗎??
之前看到有人說RMA時會檢查韌體有沒有更新，沒更新就不能RMA
這樣我到底要不要更新韌體啊 orz...
