[外電]Both sides better off since Nash left …
Their relationship may never again make this boast, but in a physical sense,
Suns guard Steve Nash and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban are both in a better place.
They’re both enjoying unprecedented success.

Since coming to Phoenix, Nash has been the perfect engine for coach Mike
D’Antoni’s offensive system, winning two straight MVP awards while taking his
team to back-to-back Western Conference finals.

Two seasons after losing Nash, Cuban has rebuilt his backcourt into a younger,
quicker model, equalled the franchise record for wins, finally vanquished the
hated Spurs and reduced his number of players with really bad hairdos to one
(Dirk Nowitzki).

All of this success had the two teams sharing the love this week.

"Unbelievable amounts of credit go to (Suns owner Robert) Sarver, the
Colangelos and (Suns coach Mike) D’Antoni for knowing Steve was perfect for
their system," Cuban said in an e-mail interview. "Even the Mavs’ old system
wasn't as wide open as D'Antoni's. He has done an amazing job.”

mistake with us not resigning Joe (Johnson) but guess what? We got Boris Diaw."

Neither Cuban nor Nash was willing to rehash the past after Nash accepted the
Suns’ $65 million, six-year offer two summers ago (Cuban said he offered four
years and $36 million with a partially guaranteed fifth year that would be
fully guaranteed if Nash met incentives).

"It's worked out great for me," Nash said.
