[問題]有關Rayleigh 及 Gamma分佈之關係

各位前輩大家好，小弟想要知道Rayleigh與Gamma分佈之關係
在Wiki搜尋到此段解釋，但不是很了解，所以想請教版上各位此兩段話是什麼意思
摘錄如下:
If R ~ Rayleigh(σ),then ΣRi^2 (i=1~N) has a gamma distribution with
parameter N and 2σ^2. [Y=ΣRi^2 (i=1~N)] ~ gammafunction(N,2σ^2)
在wiki搜尋到gamma function其中一段提到
A random variable X that is gamma distributed with shape α and scale β
is denoted X ~ gammafunction(α,β)≡ Gamma(α,β)
所以在Rayleigh分佈當中假使給定σ， 相當於在Gamma給定α=N,β=2σ^2??
不知道小弟是不是有理解錯誤，那麼這個"N"又是什麼意思呢?
