[問題] Observed Likelihood Function
Q:
An offspring in a breeding investigation can be A, B, or C with
respective probabilities (2+p)/4, (1-p)/2, or p/4. For a sample of n,
let 1, b, and c be the number of progeny of types A, B, and C.
The following data were obtained: a = 58, b = 33, and c = 9.
a) Determine the likelihood function.
b) In terms of a, b, and c, determin a quadratic equation for the
MLE estimate of p.
請問part a是把 A B C的機率相乘嗎?
那part b又該怎麼做呢??
