[問題] sampling distribution
Imagine that you have just invented a statistical test called
the Mode Test to test whether the mode of a population is some
value (eg.,100). The statistic (M) is calculated as
M=sample mode/ sample range
Describe how you could obtain the sampling distribution of M.
(Note:This is a purely fictious statistic as far as I am aware.)
我知道從母體分配(μ,σ)中重複抽取無數次的樣本,
計算某一個樣本統計量(如平均數),
則無限多個平均數會形成一個常態分配,稱之,以N~(μx,σx)表示。
若假設X為平均數E(X)=及變異數V(X)=之隨機變數,
為大小等於n之樣本平均數,則不論群體為何種分配,
若由群體中抽取大小為n之樣本,
樣本平均數分配之平均數等於群體的平均數,
而樣本平均數之變異數等於群體變異數除以樣本大小
但請問上面的題目要如何用抽樣分配的概念回答,不太瞭解題目的意思
