Spurs Assign Former Longhorn Cory Joseph to Austin Toros Jan. 4. 2012 Joseph will make his Austin debut on Thursday, Jan. 5 when the Toros host the Maine Red Claws at the Cedar Park Center at 7 p.m. ---------------------------------------------------- Spurs Recall Gary Neal from Austin Toros 1/3/2012 SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have recalled Gary Neal from the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League. Neal was assigned to the Toros on January 2 for a medical rehab assignment after undergoing an appendectomy on December 12, 2011. Neal enjoyed a successful rookie campaign during the 2010-11 season. He averaged 9.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in 21.1 minutes in 80 games. He led all rookies in three-point field goal percentage, posting a .419 mark, and earned a spot on the 2011 All-Rookie First Team.
