Position requirements
* Experience with high traffic website operations
* Familiar with cloud server hosting: AWS EC2/RDS/S3/VPC, RackSpace, Linode
* Solid knowledge in Linux server and unix/linux command line tools
* Practical experience with Apache and Nginx web server
* Practical experience with MySQL database
* Experience with git and Github
* Knowledge in high-availability system architecture
* Knowledge in networking security, understanding DDoS, iptable and firewall
* Self-discipline and strong time-management skills
* Strong technical English
* Great communication skills
The following skills are a plus
* Familiar with Ruby application server: Passenger or Unicorn
* Familiar with Chef or Puppet configuration management tool
* Familiar with Ruby, Ruby on Rails and Capistrano deployment tool
* Experience in memcached, Redis
* Using Mac as development environment
Key Responsibilities:
* Take care of our system reliability, performance,
security and service level
* Design and implement the high-availability and scalable architectures
* Design and implement the monitor systems
* Design and implement the backup and recovery plan
* Optimize our system hosting fee
* Optimize our web server, database, ruby application server,
redis, memcached, search engine...etc
* Optimize our deployment process
* Diagnose and solve system-level problems
* Handle outage
