Final draft
US government, office of technology assemment estimates that 17 millions
to 21 millions of animals are used in the USA per year.
Animals testing are when people put animals in labs and do experiments
on them. In order to make new medicines.
There are two groups that have strong opinion on animals testing,
one is animals’ rights group and other is people who support animals
testing necessary.The animals’ rights groups believe animals should
have basic right. They oppose the condition in the labs that animals are
testing; animals in labs are live in boxes or cages. Researchers give
animals dizzies on purpose, which means that lots of labs animals die.
There are people who feel animals’ testing is necessary.
A few of them claim animals can not feel pain the same as human do.
However, all of them agree that animals’ testing will make our lives
better. They question why we should treat animals as human when they are
not humans? In a survey of 50 students in Walt Whitman High School,
45% of the students interviewed think animals should have rights,
35% of the students think animals should not have rights,
15% of the students vote that animals should have rights but no more
than human's, and 5% of the students did not answer.
A majority think animals should have some kind of rights.
Animals’ testing is an issue that our society can not ignore.
Some people argue that animals’ testing is torture,
but others argue that it makes our lives much better.
In my opinion, animals should have some kind of rights but no more than
humans’, because human is one kind of animals.
