MW3 Engine 'Moved Beyond' Modern Warfare 2:

Critics have been none too shy to point out that the Call of Duty series has
been running on essentially the same engine for the past four titles.
Infinity Ward now wants to make the distinction that the upcoming Modern
Warfare 3 will be making strides under the hood.
"We haven't gone into detail on the engine yet but we've moved beyond the MW2
engine and added a lot of cool stuff for MW3," said Robert Bowling,
community strategist for Infinity Ward on Twitter.
How the new tweaks to the engine will compete with the stellar showing from
DICE's Frostbite 2 through Battlefield 3 remains to be seen, but Infinity Ward
certainly has a lot to compete with for this round of the shooter match-ups.
