有在西雅圖的台大校友可以參加 :) Dear NTU Alumni: With the shortening day light, we can tell the fall is upon us. We have our 2007 annual meeting scheduled on Sunday November 18, 2007. The venue is at the China Harbor Restaurant located at 2040 Westlake Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109; phone number (206) 286-1688. We will have a seven-course banquet plus fruit and desserts. The cost is $20.00 per person. The registration and social start at 11:00 AM. The lunch will be served at 12:00 noon. In the annual meeting, we will elect five new board members to serve us in the coming years. We will also elect a new president and vice president for our association. You are all encouraged to step forward and be a candidate for any of these positions. We have a featured speaker Ms Lorraine Howell after the lunch. She is a well known instructor on media relations and presentation skills. She has worked in the TV broadcasting industry for many years as producers of daily news, live interviews of top names in the news, public figures and celebrities as well as live broadcasts directly from the White House and the Capital in Washington DC. Lorraine is a specialist in message development, presentation skills, and media interview skills. Her book “Give Your Elevator Speech a Lift” gives a step-by-step guide through her proven process for creating a winning speech. Her method helps eliminate the verbal clutter when answering the simple question of “What do you do?” She graduated from University of Washington with honor. Her students spread across many corporations and non-profit organizations, such as Starbucks, REI, Croup Health, Vulcan Inc., Children’s Hospital, etc. Hope to see you all at the annual meeting.
