A child usually learns to tie their shoes around the time they go to
school. And once they learn, it is something they will not forget. However,
if the child's mother comes to the rescue each time the child's shoe
becomes untied, the child will never learn. The same can be said for what
we learn on an emotional level. You may be trying to save someone from an
emotional lesson - but the sooner they experience it without your
intervention, the sooner they will be able to manage it without help. And
once they get there, they'll be stronger for it.
小孩子通常在上學前學會綁鞋帶，一旦他學會了就不容易忘。然而，如果孩子的媽每
一次都在小孩的鞋帶沒綁好的時候出手相助，那麼這個孩子就永遠學不會。同理可證，
我們在情緒學習的時候也是如此。你也許正試著拯救某個人從情緒的課題之中解脫——
可是當他越快經歷而不受到你的干預，他就能越快學會在沒有他人幫助的情況下如何
處理。一旦他學會了，他就會為此變得更勇敢。
