Research has shown that there has been a six per cent increase in season ticket purchases in Italy's top tier. Newly promoted outfits Chievo and Bologna have enjoyed increases of 115 per cent and 81 per cent respectively on their return to the big stage. After a summer of impressive signings, including Argentine ace Mauro Zarate, Lazio have enjoyed a rush for tickets and have enjoyed a 56 per cent rise. Somewhat surprisingly, Milan have sold fewer tickets in spite of the Ronaldinho effect but remain the Serie A leaders in advanced sales with 41,606 seats accounted for, narrowly ahead of Inter's 40,000.
