Host: Andy, it’s your moment, it’s your microphone.
Andy Roddick: Huh, oh well, for the first time in my career I’m not sure
what to say.
Oh gosh, where do I start?
Hum, since I was a kid I’ve been coming to this tournament, and I felt
lucky just to see all of you sitting today and to watch this game
and to see the champion that’ve come and gone.
I’ve loved every minute of it.
And it’s been a road that lot of ups, lot of downs and lot of great moments.
I’ve appreciated your support along the way.
I know I certainly haven’t made it easy for you at times (ha), but I really
do appreciated and love you guys with all my heart.
And hum hopefully I’ll come back to this place someday and see all of you
again.
Last, I just wanna say thank you to my family, my mom and my dad who're up here
who gave me every chance, thank you!
And my support team who’s been with me forever.
One thing I’m not scared of about retirement is that the people that I go
home to. They’re great and I appreciated.
And one final thought, I’d like to say thank you to someone who’s not with
us anymore, to Ken Meyerson. (Andy’s long time agent who passed away last
year.)
Thank you for everything and I love you. Thank you guys, thank you!
