Man, Saturday's game was terrific. Intense. Tight.
Loaded with interesting and unexpected twists and turns.

The Rockets also played Monday.

It was sort of interesting in its own way,
or at least it was close as the Rockets tempted fate in the final minutes of
a game that should have been locked up long before.
Then again, it's tough to close out the Suns anytime Zabian Dowdell is at the
controls.

The Rockets have had plenty of games in which they were terrific but had the

as assists.

and diminished role or the pressure of playing against the team that traded
him.

There will always be those sorts of challenges,
from blown calls that aggravate to shooting slumps that strike even good
shooters.
Brooks has the ability. He's still working on the attitude.

On the occasion of his former teams playing,
it might be worth recalling one of the better points Charles Barkley often
repeated when he was here.

the great ones in a variety of ways.

That's typical of rookies and Patrick Patterson went from scoring 18 in
Phoenix to getting two against the Suns on Monday.
Jordan Hill can go from invisible to a strong 23 minutes, scoring 12 points
with eight rebounds and three assists in his return to the bench.
Goran Dragic went from going 5 of 6 to 0 for 1 and scoreless.
Even Courtney Lee, who has been as reliable as anyone since the All-Star
break,
could get little going on Monday, making just 1 of 6 shots to score two
points.
就像是大家喜歡的PP, 上次對到太陽拿了十八分, 這次卻只有兩分.
J.Hill擔任先發的時候卻讓人感受不到他的存在, 但是這場從板凳出發的比賽他卻能夠在
短時間內拿下十二分八籃板三助攻.
Dragic帥歸帥, 卻是一投零中.
甚至是大家都稱讚的小李飛刀, 也只有六投一中拿兩分.
Every player does not have to put up big numbers every night, but the Rockets
are like the majority of teams,
with a bunch of players capable of playing very well, but not enough that do
it often enough.
並沒有特定的球員需要扛起得分的重任, 但是我們需要的是大家共同的配合以及發揮,
而不是斷斷續續的表現.
Finally, I have to share a question asked of Rick Adelman in pregame
after he had said that Jordan Hill would be coming off the bench.
最後跟大家分享一個問題.
在賽後我問了Adelman為何讓PP先發而讓JH坐板凳.
"Is there any rhyme or reason about when Jordan will play?"
"難道J.Hill跟櫻木花道一樣是祕密武器嗎?"
Rick started as if to say, "Are you an idiot?"
Instead, he found a way to actually give an answer about the decision to
start Patrick Patterson and bring Hill off the bench.
他解釋了為什麼讓菜鳥PP坐上先發的位置.
Jeff Van Gundy would have knocked the guy around for a few rounds before
blasting him.
要是今天的教練是JVG, 他早就轟殺了這傢伙.
Stan would have annihilated him immediately.
若是大范老子(Stan Van Gundy), 他會徹徹底底冷凍他.
I don't even want to think how that would have gone with Gregg Popovich.
如果教練是Popovich... 我根本不敢想他會做出甚麼事情來.
