Kevin Martin feigned ignorance.
Martin假裝他不在乎.
Asked who the Rockets would be facing tonight at Toyota Center, Martin played
along.
“I don't know,” he said. “I forget.”
問到今晚的對手是誰, Martin說他忘記了, 什麼都不知道.
He knew. And in another time or another city (Sacramento),
his first game against the Kings since he was traded from Sacramento to
Houston would be more meaningful because of the opponent.

Martin, however, said he did not quickly check the schedule after the trade
to see when he would face his former team,
did not expect any different emotions and was looking forward to the game
only for its opportunity to make up ground in the pursuit of a playoff spot.
Martin說, 在交易過後他並沒有急著想要知道何時能對上老東家.
因為他認為這跟其他的比賽並沒有什麼不同. 他只想贏球, 然後打進季後賽.
“What we're trying to accomplish here is much more than Kevin and Sacramento,
” Martin said.
“We have bigger goals and bigger expectations here. I'm not worried about
one game. Treat every team the same.”

"我們有很長遠的目標. 我一點都不擔心."
Martin said there would likely be more sentimentality attached if the game
were in Sacramento.
Instead, he said it will be “just another game.”
For the Rockets, however, “just another game” is huge with the Trail
Blazers holding a four-game lead on the ninth-place Rockets.
Martin說如果這場比賽是在沙加緬度進行, 那或許會更敏感些.
Martin認為這不過就是一場比賽而已,
不過對火箭隊的戰績而言, 這可是必須要獲勝的一場比賽.
“I think it will be emotional, but it's not like I'm out trying to get them,
not like it's going to be a one-man show,” he said.
“I had a great time in Sac. The community took me under (its) wing. I was
very blessed to have five great years in Sac.
"還是有點感情啦,不過我不會當成是我的個人秀."Martin說.
"在沙加緬度我過的很好. 那邊的社區跟球迷很照顧我.
在那裡呆上五年是很幸運的事情."
“I'm playing every team the same. It doesn't matter who we're playing.”

But the Rockets said it will be “weird.”
It was strange from the start,
with the team hearing about the trade when their plane touched down after
that night's game in Milwaukee.
但是火箭隊自己也有些不酥湖.
從交易的消息傳開之後就開始了.
“It was just weird because simultaneously, all our phones on the table just
started vibrating,” Chuck Hayes said.
“We all got on the phone, looked at each other and looked at Carl and said
our goodbyes.”
"很詭異, 在那時候我們的電話就響個不停."Hayes說.
"我們都接到了電話, 面面相覷, 然後跟Landry道別."
A friendly jab or three
Hayes had no doubt, however, they will enjoy saying hello — and a lot more.

“You might see a few of us giggling or joking around,” Hayes said.
“I know one thing; he's not going to be trying to take a charge, because he
doesn't want to get his tooth knocked out.

“Even when he was here, we used to trash talk all the time, always tell him,

Landry spent nearly three seasons with the Rockets, averaging 11.2 points and
5.1 rebounds,
and was averaging 16.1 points and 5.5 rebounds this season.
He averaged 15.8 points and six rebounds in his first five games, all as a
starter, with the Kings.
Joey Dorsey played in just seven games in his two seasons with the Rockets,
averaging 7.7 minutes in those games, roughly the same playing time he has
received in four games with the Kings.
Landry在火箭隊打了將近三個球季, 平均11.2分還有五個籃板球.

Slowing Landry will be a much greater key for the Rockets.
After Landry's sublime December, teams slowed him considerably with
double-teams.
But the Rockets prefer to double-team in the low post only as a last resort
and have had Hayes match up with little or no double-team help against the
best low-post scorers from Dwight Howard to Tim Duncan.
如何阻止Landry會是火箭隊的重要課題.

“(Landry) will try to play great, just like everybody will in this situation,
” Luis Scola said.
“But he will probably be laughing and talking. He is such a great character.
It's going to be hard to be really, really serious out there.

“We always had a lot of fun playing and a lot of fun outside of the
basketball court.

But more than anything, it will be a game the Rockets believe they need to
win, having spent their margin for error.
Martin could not pretend to be unsure of that.
不過最重要的是, 火箭隊亟需贏下這場比賽, Martin可不能再裝做不在乎了.
“March is the last month before you head into the playoff month,” he said.
“This is the month all the teams gear up.”
"三月是季後賽前的白熱化階段."他說. "大家都必須繃緊神經."
That is true, he insisted, no matter who they play.
這倒沒錯, 就像他說的一樣, 無論對手是誰都得贏下來.
