I hope to single out and be able to say " thank you" indivisually to each one of my teammates, but it kind of looks like there's a little bit more than I expected. And...but guys, you have no idea what this means, going into this in last week... 我要先...你知道的，先謝謝老闆，謝謝球迷，謝謝所有前來參加的人。呃...我想要向隊友們一個一個說謝謝，不過人比我預期的還多。不過你們不了解其中的意義，當我上禮拜面臨這個...(哽咽) In this last week, living up to this, it's probably one the hardest weeks that you go through with the plan. To have you guys here, I really appreciate it. You guys take time out, you guys had late game today, and, thank you, I really appreciate it. And than goes to coaches over here, Tuck, thanks, everyone else, train staff, thank you. Mom and dad, thank you for being here last week, and Scott. And months of deliberating what to do, I thought it was the best for me and my family that I retired. But I retired Red Sox. My decision to retire wasn't something that I took lightly. At any sense for the work more did I want to do more than I want This has been probably the most difficult decision that I've had to make in my career. But the oppurtunity to start and finish my Major League career in one place meant more to me than why I'm standing here today. 我在此正式宣佈我要以球員身份退休。經過幾個月以來的深思，我認為退休對我和我的家人們是最好的。但我要以紅襪球員身份退休。我一直很難做出決定，這或許是我生涯中最艱難的決擇。不過我有機會能夠在同一個地方開始以及結束大聯盟生涯，比為何我能站在這裡，更具有意義。 Being a part of this Red Sox organization the past 14 years, there is something I'll truly cherish, and I do really cherish. And I thank all you for giving me this oppurtunity ,to this taken everybody to let that to happen. To Red Sox nation, the best fans in baseball, thank you, thank you for making this most special place to play. My teammates, it's what I'm gonna miss the most. It's the hardest thing to do, is to walk away from your teammates, and what they meant to you over the years.
