[紅襪] Don Zimmer
嘿，還記得Don Zimmer是誰嗎？
所有紅襪迷永遠忘不了Pedro Martinez 2003那個不亞於台灣警察摔檳榔西施的側摔，
而苦主正是當時的紐約板凳教練Don Zimmer！
但你可能不知道Don Zimmer 1974-76曾是紅襪的三壘教練，在前教練季中因戰績被炒
魷魚後，Don Zimmer補位當了代理教練，最後真除當上了總教練，還帶領球隊達到單
季九十九勝。(76-80)
不過從三壘教職開始到以總教練職位下台，Don Zimmer的評價充滿著正負兩極(有興趣
者可自行google)。
不過Don Zimmer在紅襪球團歷史的定位將被改寫～
因為今年2010年紅襪名人堂的入選三人中就包括了這位有爭議性的Don Zimmer！
在得知自己入選紅襪名人堂後，現役光芒隊的資深顧問Don Zimmer發表以下感想:
"I managed in San Diego before Boston and as a manager in Boston,
you learn pretty quickly that you have to be thick-skinned.
Boston has knowledgeable fans and they're fanatic about the Red
Sox. If the club's losing, they'll let you know. You get a real
education coaching and managing at Fenway Park. When Dick
Bresciani (Head of the Red Sox Hall of Fame voting committee)
called me and told me I was in the Red Sox Hall of Fame, it was a
total surprise and a great honor. As much as I took as a manager
there, I love Boston and have many great memories from my days
there."

這裡當教練必須非常厚臉皮。波士頓有著非常聰明的球迷，而且他們對於
他們的球隊非常狂熱。當你輸球的時候他們一定會讓你知道他們的不爽，
在芬威球場，你可以上最震撼的教練課。當Dick Bresiani (紅襪名人堂協
會領事)告知我我入選了，這對我來說是個完全的意外和光榮。我愛波士頓
還有我在那當總教頭的那些時光。"
