All the scouts and executives throughout the game who have seen him play are
saying, and there's a lot of enthusiasm about Steven Souza. I don't see any
reason to think his success in the minors won't translate to MLB. He has
size, strength, plus raw power, a short swing, a good hitting approach and a
track record of success against upper-minors pitching. He's athletic, he's an
above-average runner who can steal bases and has a plus arm, so he projects
as an above-average defender for a corner outfield spot. People might
overlook him because of his age, which is silly, because he just happened to
develop later and was blocked in Washington, and because the evaluation
should always be based on talent, not a birth certificate. Josh Donaldson's
one of the best players in baseball and he didn't break through until he was
27 years old. All the arrows are pointing in the right direction on Souza.

‧DeJesus 聽過很多自己可能會在春訓被交易的新聞，但他依舊希望可以在這個賽季
繼續穿上光芒球衣，同時他也表示自己已經恢復健康了。
‧和過去幾個球季不同， Guyer不必再為擠進25人名單奮鬥，所以這次春訓也把老婆
和女兒帶上，希望藉此增加親子之間相處的機會，並用最輕鬆的心態應戰。
‧Jepsen第一天來到球場就鬧出糗事－停錯停車格，生涯都待在天使的他進入球場的
第一印象：全都是藍的。Jepsen說來到球場的路上心情有些複雜：緊張、興奮、焦
慮。不過來到這裡之後遇到的每個人都熱情的介紹自己。 McGee從小和他一起長大
，得知他將要加入光芒後已經跟他介紹過這支球隊，但Jepsen還是想早點來適應環
境。採訪他的Topkin認為Jepsen是個很幽默的傢伙。
‧Moore 持續著他的復健課程，沒有和其他投手一起訓練。目前的復健成果很順利。
‧McGee 也單獨訓練，目前的進度是90呎的傳接球。

‧Lee 坦承前年受的傷和去年春訓期間的傷勢讓他在球季中打得有些畏首畏尾，新任
三壘教練同時也是去年AAA總教練Charlie Montoyo也為他背書：「當你錯過一整個
球季後要重新找回打擊的感覺是很困難的，只能保持信心並堅持做對的事，去年的
他有點太過心急，但他一名好球員，相信他做得到，重點是他現在很健康，大家最
擔心的跑動也很流暢，剩下的就是心態問題了。」對於春訓， Lee表示：「我準備
好了。」
‧Souza 上個週末舉行了婚禮，他把所有婚事籌備的工作都歸功於老婆：「其實有點
混亂，但她規劃得很棒。」談到在新球隊的發展他表示：「從小登上大聯盟就是我
的夢想，而我也曾認為這個夢不可能會再實現了。感謝Cash和Matt Silverman還有
其他幕後的制服組成員這麼信任我。」

‧Silverman對於球隊陣容很有信心，「我們有能力與任何球隊匹敵。」
‧談到傷兵，Silverman說McGee很想回到場上，但球隊會保守評估，最可能四月底，
最晚五月。Moore的狀況相對明朗，復出時間定在六月。
‧Silverman也提到球隊在春訓不會做出太多球員名單的調整，主要會評估Cabrera要
守二壘還是游擊，然後再考慮其他內野手要擺哪裡。
‧被問到怎麼看專家看衰今年的光芒（ESPN作家Jim Boden給光芒D-），Silverman說
：「他們去年還說我們會打進世界大賽呢！」
‧被問到今年會不會像過去Maddon執教時期為球隊定一個口號，Cash說"NO."
