How patient should Rangers be with Feliz?

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Just a little more than a week ago, the Rangers had
little choice but to stay extremely patient with closer Neftali Feliz. They
simply didn't have a viable alternative.

But the trade deadline has changed their options. Does it alter how patient
they are with him?

Feliz, the 2010 AL Rookie of the Year, just hasn't looked like that same
intimidating force he was last season, when he took the ball and 40 out of 43
times earned the save. He usually did it in dominating fashion, firing 100
mph fastballs by hitters and mixing in some off-speed and breaking stuff that
found the zone enough times to keep batters honest.

The velocity is still there, but the secondary pitches aren't finding the
strike zone enough and the location on his fastball isn't as consistent. The
result is a strikeout-to-walk ratio out of whack with the Feliz we saw last
year. Then, he had 71 strikeouts and 18 walks in 69 1/3 innings. So far this
season, he's got 29 strikeouts and 20 walks in 42 innings.
他的球速還在，但是第二武器球種沒辦法有效攻擊好球帶 (也可以說是夠水準的變化球種)
直球的控球不能保持在固定水準(這邊不是很確定)
導致他今年的K/BB比十分的悲劇，去年他在69又1/3局中K掉71人只有18保送
而今年則是在42局裡僅有29K卻有20次保送...囧rz
Feliz had three blown saves the entire season. This year, he's doubled that
total with his latest struggle on Saturday night. Feliz came in to pitch his
third consecutive game. He had thrown 27 pitches the previous two games and
said he felt good. After the game, he did not blame fatigue or pitching a
third straight day on his performance.

Feliz maintains he's still confident, but does he look it on the mound?
Washington talked a few weeks ago about seeing more fire from his closer.
Since then, he's backed his closer and did so again after Saturday's rough
outing.
他依然對自己抱持著自信
華總在幾週前表示對他很有信心
之後Feliz又回到Closer而且今天又再搞砸了
But the difference between now and 10 days ago is that the Rangers have Mike
Adams and Koji Uehara in the bullpen. Both have the ability to close and the
Padres said they were ready to make Adams the closer had they dealt Heath
Bell at the deadline.
現在和10天前的差別是:
我們多了Adams和上原兩位有能力擔當CL的頂級牛
(教士當初打算交易Bell，讓Adams接任終結者)
Feliz remains the closer for now. But is his job security weakened both by
his performance and the trade deadline pickups? I'm sure the club is curious
as to how he responds after this latest setback. How much longer do they
stick with him if he has another hiccup?

但是由於他不佳的表現和交易的關係，還能繼續保住CL的工作嗎??
我(作者)很確定球團想知道在Feliz再一次遭受挫折後的反應是什麼
球團究竟還會堅持讓Feliz擔當CL這個決定多久呢??
