[問題] 回復青春活力的神話植物
嗯，我要問的是一種神話植物^^\
最近在研究基爾加美什(以前蘇美人的一位王)追求永生的傳說，
在他好朋友死了之後，王體認到只要是凡人都有生命結束的一天，
因此踏上旅程找尋永生。
之後發現不可能永生，但是卻聽說海底有一種草，吃了之後能回復青春活力。
關於這個植物英文的翻譯是這樣:
1) There is a plant… like a boxthorn
2) whose thorns will prick your hand like a rose.

1) There is a plant, Its thorn is like the buckthorn
2) Its thorns will prick your hands As does the rose
(翻譯 Robert Temple)
第二句像玫瑰一般扎手這點，各種翻譯幾乎都有提到，
但問題是第一句boxthorn跟buckthorn
boxthorn我查到的是枸杞...可是國外也有枸杞嗎?而且枸杞好像英文又是Lycium?
buckthorn查到是鼠李，不過鼠李算是植物的科屬?好像包含很多其他名稱的植物?
(如果是Sea buckthorn 沙棘，被形容成最古老的植物之一...感覺倒還蠻有神話故事中會
出現的植物的感覺?)
為什麼兩個翻譯會跑出兩種植物名稱?是因為兩者有相似之處嗎?
是否有人能推測出來到底這神話中的植物跟現代甚麼植物相近呢?
