[問題]導體內部電流drift speed vs average spee

【題目】搞不清楚average speed 與 drift speed的差別

【瓶頸】在圖1,課本寫:if the carriers move with an average velocity component
vd in the x direction (along whe wire), the displacement they experience in
this direction in a time interval Δt is Δx = vd*Δt. The speed vd of the
charge carrier along the wire is an "average speed" called the "drift speed".
看完圖1,我認定vd = average speed ,其中average speed又稱作drift speed。
但在圖3,最後一段寫:The drift speed, however, is much smaller than the average
speed, so the parabolic shape is not visible on this scale.
所以,average speed並不等於drift speed。
我以為圖2的內文會解釋average speed跟drift speed的差異,但我發現並沒有,故上來請
教各位大大。
圖2的中文翻譯大致如下:
我們已經認定了沿著線的drift speed就是average speed,但charge carriers絕對不會
用vd的速率作直線移動。考慮一個導體,在這導體裡電荷載體是自由電子。在導體沒有電
位差的情況下,這些電子會隨機地移動並重複地與金屬原子碰撞,產生如圖3複雜的鋸齒狀
運動。當電位差被施加在導體上,電場在導體內部被建立,電場對自由電子施力並產生電
流。由於electric force所產生的電子移動重疊在原本電子的隨機運動上,provide an
average velocity whose magnitude is the drift speed。
另外,單獨關於圖2,我也想另外請教一些問題。
net motion of electrons與電場方向相反,是因為電場是由正電荷發出負電荷終止,所以
導致electrons由左至右移動 對吧?
because of the accerleration of the charge carriers due to the electric force,
the paths are actually parabolic.
由於電力使電荷載子加速,所以paths 應該是要為拋物線的,我不懂這句話的前因後果。

我大概懂意思了,圖1一開始的average velocity是平均速度(有方向性,與路徑無關)在這
的物理意義為:(載子與原子碰撞後的隨機運動)+(受到電場影響的純x軸載子移動)/(總時間
),由於在不是x軸的部分花了很多時間(碰撞後呈鋸齒狀運動,有很大部分為y軸分量;且
velocity只與displacement有關),所以average velocity會很低。
而drift speed定義為"只有在average speed沿著x方向時"才相等,所以drift speed就是
average speed的x軸分量(載子受到電場影響的漂移速率),但average speed不可能只有沿
著x軸的分量,還要加上載子與原子碰撞時產生的y軸分量。
