[問題] 關於active electron
最近在看雷射相關的書籍，剛好看到書上想要使用古典方法來說明為何radiation
會有一頻譜分布(ex:自然線寬)，書上有一個名詞是active electron
但看了附註，仍然不太理解這詞的意思，想請求協助
附註為:
the selection rules for electric dipole radiation state that
transitions of this type can only occur if only a single electron changes
state in the transition. This is known as the active electron.
這段話看了好幾次了，但仍然不太理解他的說明，故想上來問問，謝謝。
