"We just kept telling each other to stick to our philosophy (defend and play hard), and we'd be OK. We made some big stops and made some big plays. By the midway point in the third quarter, the Knicks didn't have much fight left after the Hornets went out to a 87-67 lead after Desmond Mason's layup that was set up by a Paul bounce pass. After leading by 21 early in the fourth quarter, the Hornets then put on a dunk show, which included 5-foot-11 guard Speedy Claxton getting up for an alley-oop dunk on a pass from Paul. "We just wanted to give our best effort tonight, because we didn't get it done against the Wizards.
