Billionaire mortgage lender Mat Ishbia has been approved to become the
Phoenix Suns' new governor by a 29-0 vote of the NBA Board of Governors,
sources confirm to ESPN. Ishbia is slated to be introduced Wednesday morning
in Phoenix.

The Cleveland Cavaliers abstained from the vote to approve Ishbia, sources
confirmed to ESPN. (Cavs owner Dan Gilbert runs Rocket Mortgage and Ishbia
runs United Wholesale Mortgage. The two companies have history -- and a
fierce rivalry.)
